The guests of honour were presented with corsages as well as a lovely centrepiece of carnations and roses which, when the candles were lit provided the light for the dinner. Other guests were Harvey and Anne Walper and Arthur Thomp- son. Also Friday evening many people from here attended a dinner and dance at the "Parkhill Community Centre., sponsored by the CoLop". ' ' Saturday was the day that Santa Claus arrived at Parkhill. A very good parade was held and many area people turned out to watch. Robin Turner was with the 'High School cheer-leaders float and Jan Lagerwerf accompanied by wee Andy Eagleson drove his tiny red car in the parade. 'These were the people from here that caught my eye as they passed. December 7 will be white gift Sunday at the United Church and December 14 after the church service the "Christmas Concert" will take place. , Saturday a birthday party was held at the home of Jake Lagerwerf for Jake and his twin sister Anna Eagleson. Next Saturday Ken Lar7 mer is holding "Open House" at his new building. Saturday evening a presentation was held for Jim and Janet Rock • on Saturday evening at Corbett when they were presented with a bridge table and chairs. The evening was spent in euchre and winners were: Men's High-Harry Horner, Men's Low-Stuart Bullock, Ladies High-Joyce Hodgins, Ladies Low-Sherry Ritchie. A social visit followed the service.
