ChristianWomen meet
stressed by a guest speaker
at the Christmas meeting of
the Christian Womens Club. ,
The special speaker was
Major Earl McInnes of the
Salvation Army.
Major McInnes read to the
women, from chapter two of
Luke in the New English
Bible. He said that the word
manger is used only three

Major McInnes said that
Luke II was a favourite

quite clear. He described the
three points as Mary laying
her child in thd manger, the
angels, promising the
shepherds that they would
find the child in the manger,
and the discovery of the child
in the manger by the
shepherds.
Major McInnes was in-
vited to speak at the club by
Shirley Luther, who was in
charge of the meeting. He is
presently the divisional
commander with the
Salvation Army in Grand
Falls, Newfoundland. He and
his wife Shirley were visiting
with Mrs. Luther. He is the
former pastor at the London
Citadel on Springbank Drive.
Mrs. McInnes sang a duet
with Nan Britton, entitled
"Star of the East". Mary
Lou Tait accompanied them
on the piano. Mrs. Tait also
