Church news
At the United Church Rev.
Elwood Morden conducted
the morning worship on
Sunday, Taking the text for
his sermon from Timothy
1:16 Rev. Morden entitled it
"Clapping and Cheering",
Life is a •stage, some people
are chosen for centre stage,
or the Chorus, then there are
the behind the scenes people,
makeup, wardrobe etc, but
the majority of the people
are clapping and cheering.
There is real ministry in
clapping and cheering said
the minister.
Encouragement "is
something we all can do for
people who need it, the Bible
is full of people doing just
this, Paul when he was in
prison was cheered by
Onesiphorus, saying, "He
gave me vigor, he put power
into me, his visits revived
me like a breath of fresh air.
At St. Thomas Anglican
Church Rev. Gregg Smith
conducted the service of

scripture lesson was read by
Miss Pamela Hill of London,
and the second by the

physical.

first in Advent, Holy CM-

Community Bible Church
Pastor Glen Fretz spoke on
the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit. The Bible teaches that
a Christian is indwelt by the
Holy Spirit, the very instant
as he accepts Christ as his
personal Saviour. As
believers we need to claim
this Biblidal truth as a fact,
and thus count on Gods Holy
Spirit within us to give us
victory over Sin.
