CENTRALIA
, Linda Wilson, bride elect,
was guest of honour at a
miscellaneous shower in the
schoolroom of the United
Church, Sunday afternoon.
Guests were welcomed by
Mrs. Alice Koehler,
Singing in a. girls chorus
Were Faye Blair, Penny
Smith, Dianne Skinner,
Margaret, Donna and
Barbara Wilson with Mrs.
Wilson at the piano. Mrs.
Jack Essery fovoured with a
reading and piano solos were
played by Mrs. Ray Mills.
The mock wedding staged
by a number of ladies drew
many hearty laughs. An
address was read by Mrs,
Stephen Molnar and gifts
were presented by Lenore
Coates.
Linda was assisted by her
sisters, Margaret and
Donna. Barbara Wilson was
in charge of the guest book,
Linda expressed her ap-
preciation for the many
beautiful and useful gifts. A
contest was conducted by
Mrs, Ken Greb. The
decorations made an, ' at-
tractive setting for the happy
occasion.
Sunday service
White Gift Sunday was
observed in the United
Church Sunday morning and
the service was conducted by
Sunday School superin-
tendent Norman Wilson and
his associates Rob Essery,
Alan Powe and Jeff Greb.
"A Gift from God" was the
theme of the service and the
order of service outlined by
the Department of
Stewardship Services was
followed. "The Innkeeper' s
Story" was presented in a
very able manner by the
senior members of the
Sunday School.
The juniors contributed to
the service by singing
"Away in a Manger" with
piano accompaniment by
Ruth Ann Essery. This was
followed by the presentation
of the White Gifts. The choir
under the 'direction of the
organist, Mr. Doug Gill, sang
two anthems.
This coming Sunday
(November 30) the
congregation from Zion West
will join the Centralia
congregation for a combined
service in the Centralia
church at 11 a.m. (please
note the change of time), A
group of young people from
Appin will be in charge of the
service.
A pot luck dinner will
follow the serviee.

minutes were then read and
the treasurer's report was

on the morning session of the
County Rally in Gerrie and
Mrs. Norm. Eveland af-
ternoon report was read by
Mrs, Dave Cottel. Mrs. Earl
Neil reported on the Public
Relations Workshop she
