12 large tomatoes - peeled and cut lengthwise
6 large cucumbers peeled and sliced
6 onions cut lengthwise
Put in bowl in layers, Sprinkle with 1/2 cup pickling salt
and let stand overnight. Drain in colander 3-4 hours.
Sauce 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (or less)
4 c. white sugar 1/2 tsp. curry powder (or less)
2 tsp, celery seed 4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. turmeric 1 pt, cider vinegar
Boil until thick about 10 min. It's a thin sauce. Put in
vegetables and bring back to boil. Cook slowly for 30
min. Makes 6 pts. •

Old Fashioned Dressing
1/4 tsp. salt

Chili Sauce •
6 qt. tomatoes celery
1 green pepper (2 apples if desired)
4 large onions 2 c. white vinegar
Put this in oven for 2 hours and after add 6 cups white
sugar return to oven for 1 more hour. Take out of oven
and add 1/4 tsp. all spice, stir well and put in jars

1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3 tbsp, tarrogon or malt vine
2 tbsp, white rum (optional)
1/4 c, olive oil

1/2 tsp. paprika
1 - 3 tsp. sugar

Kay's Salad Dressing
1 /2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. salt
Mix dry ingredient in top of double boiler. Add:
1 or 2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. vinegar
Cook until thick stirring all the time. Remove from
heat and add 1 tbsp. butter.
