ENTERTAINMENT EACH WEEKEND Cakes Pistachio Cake 1 white cake mix 1 cup crisco oil (or others) 3 eggs' 1 pkg. Pistachio green pudding (Instant) 1/2• cup nuts 1 cup of club soda. Beat 2 min. Bake at 350 deg, till done. Topping 2 pkg. Dream Whip. 1 pkg. of 'pistachio pudding (Instant) 1% cups cold milk Beat till right and serve on cake. Chocolate Pumpkin Cake 1/4 c. oleo 1 c. salad dressing 1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. warm water 3 fresh eggs 1/2 c. cocoa 1 - 16 oz. tin pumpkin About 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda , 3 tsp. baking powder Mix smooth and pour into 9 x 13x 2"greased pan. Bake 350 degrees until done. Cool. Serve with whipped cream or cool and ice with chocolate icing. Vera Dunseith St. Marys Gum Drop Cake 1 c. butter 1 c, white sugar 2 eggs Vinch salt 172 c, sour milk with 1 tsp soda dissolved in it 1/2 pt. crushed pineapple 1 c, pineapple juice , 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond 1.lb, blanched raisins 1 lb,. gumdrops (no black) 1/2 lb. pineapple ring 1/2 lb. almonds, 1 c. red and green cherries, candied 3 - 31/2 c. flour Bake 3 hours at 275 degrees or until done. Bake in greased fruit cake tins. Vera Dunseith St. Marys Strawberry Shortcake 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 13/4 c. cake and pastry flour 21/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp, salt • 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. milk Beat 5 min, before adding flour and milk. Bake in 9" pan at 325 deg. for 27 min. or put into cup cakes.
