11/2 cups all purpose flour
'tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup white sugar
1 cup coarsely grated carrots
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1/z cup crisco oil
cup seedless raisins.
Sift together, flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Beat together egg, sugar, oil and vanilla. Add carrots
and raisins, Stir in dry ingredients, mixing only until
all ingredients are moistened, about 20 strokes. Turn
into a 9 x 5 x 3.inch loaf pan, greased. Bake at 350 deg,

Granny's Nut Bread
Bake at 350 deg. for about 45 minutes
1 egg slightly beaten
1 c. white sugar (brown also good)
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
2-3 tsp. baking powder
Nuts, cherries and raisins may be added as desired.
Walnuts, cherries cut in half very good. Let stand 20
minutes before baking in greased loaf pan.

Grandma's. Buttermilk Buns.
Measure flour sifter full of flour
1 level tsp, baking soda
1 tsp.. baking powder for every cup of flour
1 tsp. salt
Wet with buttermilk
Mix. with silver knife-then put on board and make
into buns, To make extra nice-1 tablespoon shortening
to each cup flour
Bake',in moderate oven.
Zucchini Bread
3 c. flour
11/2 c. sugar (white)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. unpeeled zucchini, grated coarse
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
3 eggs
1 c. oil
Beat eggs and oil together.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to eggs and oil.
Then add zucchini, nuts and raisins, (crushed pineap-
ple if you like). Bake at 350 deg. for about 11/4 hours.
