By MRS. E. SUMMERS

ownership of farm
properties, this will be one of
the resolutions to be voted on
at the area convention held

Church hews
At the United Church Rev.
Elwood Morden conducted
the Sunday morning wor-
ship, anu continuing with his
series on the ten com-
mandments, entitled his
sermon "Common and
Respectable Crooks" this
pertained to the 8th com-
mandment "Thou shalt not
steal".
Mentioning people in the
Bible who were common and
respectable crooks, Rev.
Morden said, there are men
and women today who claim
to be respectable members
of the community, who
shoplift, steal towels from
hotels, cheat 0.H.l.P,
' Welfare, unemployment
Insurance services, then
there are the V.I.P.'s who
resort to price fixing em-
bezzlement and exploiting
labor, However, I still
believe there are many
honest people in the world.
An honest man is the noblest
of God work.
At the St. Thmas Anglican
Church Rev. Gregg Smith
conducted the service of
Morning Prayer. The first
Lesson was read from
Ecclesiasticus 18-1933 by
Mrs. Ron Hardie and the 2nd

James Hodgins, Rev, Smith
preached his sermon on the
two lessens, This was on the
institution of the Church in
Jesus' Day, Stating that we
are inheritants of this' in-
stitution. The church is a
place for love, where people
gather together for praying
and worlisip, said Rev.
Gregg
A reminder was given of
the Dressed Ham Supper to
be held in the church hall on
Wednesday November 5
from. 5-8 p.m.
The service at the Granton
Community Bible Church
was taken by the Nations
Gospel Trio of London. The
presentation was worshipful,
as they used scripture verses
set to , music, In several
songs they invited the
congregation to sing along
with them in praising, the
Lord.
