a Huron-Perth Conference
championship Thursday in
Byron.
On the 3-.50 metre ,course
at the Byron sld course,
Susan Birmingham led the
South Huron juniors with a
sixth place finish. Others
from the local team in the
top 16 were Catherine
fai
Patterson, Susan Sullivan,
Alice Dietrich and Esther
Van Oss.
The other team members
are Chris Kennedy, Sarah
Miller, Susan McClure, Joan
Osgood, Tracy Ducharrne,
Sharon Rundle, Mary Lou
Rundle, Roxanne Woods. and
Carla Solomon.
The South Huron senior
boys finished second in their
division led by Matt
McClure's fifth place finish.
Murray Wareing was
seventh, John Van Esbroeck
ninth and Rodney Masnica
28th. Other team members
were Doug Medd and Brian
Steele.
The junior boys from the
local school were also
second. Leading the team
was Dan Shute with a sixth
place finish. Following in the
standings in the top 20 were
Mike Fleming, Mike' Van
Raay and Jim Regier. Other
team members are Len
Dietrich, Mike Grubb, Jim
Robinson, Andrew Winters
and 'Ian Munroe.
In the senior girlg class
Susan Fleming was 11th and
Diane Rundle 16th.
The WOSSA cross country
competition is being held on
October 24 in Byron.
