However, they have three other players with junior experience returning to the lineup, and a number of last. year's ()AMA champion Midget team on their roster which already .has local fans looking forward to an ex- Citing and winning season. Defenceman Larry Dawson was away for the weekend and is expected in the lineup. Returning from St. Marys Lincoln of the Junior "B`" loop is speedy Brian Mercer and coming back after playing last season with the Exeter Mohawks are Brad Taylor and Jeff Fuller. Players already signed off last year's local midget championship team are netminder Rich. Fletcher and skaters Bill Glover, -Pete Tuckey, Jim Lovie, Ed Willis; Rick Lindenfield and John Kernick. Glover is a second year midget, while Kernick comes to the Hawks as a bantam grad and has already showed he can score goals in junior hockey. Doug Brooks comes back to Exeter after an absence of one year and adds to the team's speed and the only unfamiliar face to !local fans will be Mike Couse, a Grand Bend minor graduate. The outcome of that exhibition tilt between Luc an and Exeter was in doubt until the final whistle as the Irish posted a 5-4 verdict. They scored three times in the first five minutes of the third period and then bad to contend with a rally by, the Hawks that fell one goal short.
