At present 'she is on staff at °mark in Guelph. Elimville • ladies meet By KATHY COOPER The Elimville United Church Women held their September meeting recently. The call to worship was followed by singing "How, firm a foundation". Ruth Skinner read the scripture. Mrs. Horace Delbridge read an article "Sometimes I get angry with God". Before viewing slides entitled "The Land of Fujisan" After the slides the lists were checked, this proved very interesting. The of- fering and prayer followed. Mrs. Eisen Lynn read the Japanese version of the Lord's Prayer. "In Christ there is no East or West" closed the worship part of the meeting. The roll call was answered by a verse on missions. A donation was given to the manse committee. The regional will be held October 15 at 12:30 at Greenway United.Church. The meeting will start with dessert and coffee. The topic will be Japan. The United Church Women will cater to the South Perth Softball Association October 18 at the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre. President Mrs. Philip Here closed the meeting with a poem"Rernember this". -A social time followed, Baptism was observed at Elimville United Church recently. Children baptized were Trevor Philip Skinner, son of Mr, & Mrs. Dale Skinner and Tracy Leann Taylor daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Larry /Taylor A large number from the community attended open house in honor of Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Hunter's 50th wed- ding anniversary. Visitors last week with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martene were the latter's sister and aunt, Mrs, Grace Bond and Mrs. Alma Knot, Chatham. Joe Wragg a patient in University hospital due to an auto accident is somewhat improved and is able to be in a room. (Monday's report) Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gould, Windsor, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chandler. Mr, and Mrs. Ross Love were pleasantly surprised on Sunday when the family ; held a wedding anniversary ' dinner for them at the home of their son Clare in Sarnia. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gill and Mrs. Edith Love, Exeter; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd. Love, Parkhill; and Rev. and Mrs. Mervyn Love, Wyoming. Dinner guests, Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gibson were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Baker, Mr. and Mrs. George Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Eveland. The occasion marked three birthdays - Mrs. Baker, Mrs.. Schmidt and Norman • Eveland. They are sisters and brother of Mrs. Gibson, Michael Gibson and his nephew, Randy Marriage of Clinton spent the weekend in Brown City, Michigan where Randy won his 11th trophy this year racing in the Moto Cross races. TOWNSHIP OF STEPHEN Notice of Posting Preliminary List of Electors for 1980 School Support List for 1981 Taxes The preliminary list of electors prepared as required by the Municipal Elections Act 1977 will be publicly posted in the office of the Municipal Clerk on the 9th day of Oc- tober, 1980. 'It will also be posted in the auditorium of Grand Cove Estates and the three schools in the township.
