Of Road Closing
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to
The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter
284, Section 443 and other powers thereun- •
to enabling, the Corporation of the
Township of Stephen proposes to stop up
and close:
A portion of the original road allowance
being part of lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 Aux
Sables Concession, in the said Township
of Stephen, more particularly described
in Schedule "A" attached hereto.
The lands comprising• that part of the
said road allowance hereby stopped up
and closed, and the subsequent sale or
other disposition of the said lands, shall be
subject to easements for existing sewer,
watermain and hydro services on the lands
in question.
That subject to the said easements, the
lands comprising that part of the said road
allowance hereby stopped up and closed
shall continue to be vested in the Corpora-
tion of the Township of Stephen to be dealt
with from time to time as the Council of the
said Corporation may see fit and deem
proper.
And that the Council of the said Cor-
poration will hear, in person or by counsel,
solicitor, or agent, any person who claims
that his land will be prejudicially affected
by the said by-law and who applied to be
heard at a meeting to be held at the Coun-
dl Chambers at the Village of Crediton in
the Township of Stephen, County of Huron
on the 21st day of October 1980, at the
hour of 8:30 o'clock in the afternoon.

of Huron and being composed of all of the
original 33 foot road allowance adjacent to
the westerly boundary of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5,
Ausable Concession, save and except that
portion of the road allowance adjacent to
the westerly boundary of that portion of Lot
2, Ausable Concession designated as Part 1
on RD Plan 657 registered in the Registry
Office, Goderich, Ontario.

ladies meet

The Elimville United
Church Women held their
September meeting
recently. The call to worship
was followed by singing
"How, firm a foundation".
Ruth Skinner read the
scripture.
Mrs. Horace Delbridge
read an article "Sometimes I
get angry with God". Before
viewing slides entitled "The
Land of Fujisan"
After the slides the lists
were checked, this proved
very interesting. The of-
fering and prayer followed.
Mrs. Eisen Lynn read the
Japanese version of the
Lord's Prayer. "In Christ
there is no East or West"
closed the worship part of
the meeting. The roll call
was answered by a verse on
missions.
A donation was given to
the manse committee. The
regional will be held October
15 at 12:30 at Greenway
United.Church. The meeting
will start with dessert and
coffee. The topic will be
Japan.
The United Church Women
will cater to the South Perth
Softball Association October
18 at the Kirkton-Woodham
Community Centre.

social time followed,
Baptism was observed at
Elimville United Church
recently. Children baptized

A large number from the
community attended open
house in honor of Mr. & Mrs.
Hubert Hunter's 50th wed-
ding anniversary. This was
held at the Kirkton Com-
munity Centre Sunday af-
ternoon.
A number of people also
attended the International
plowing match at Woodstock
during the week.

Match at Woodstock last
week including the Irvin

Visitors last week with Mr.

were the latter's sister and
aunt, Mrs, Grace Bond and
Mrs. Alma Knot, Chatham.
Joe Wragg a patient in
University hospital due to an
auto accident is somewhat
improved and is able to be in
a room. (Monday's report)

weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Chandler.

were pleasantly surprised

Notice of Posting
Preliminary List of Electors for 1980
School Support List for 1981 Taxes
The preliminary list of electors prepared
as required by the Municipal Elections Act
1977 will be publicly posted in the office of
the Municipal Clerk on the 9th day of Oc-
tober, 1980. 'It will also be posted in the
auditorium of Grand Cove Estates and the
three schools in the township.
Electors should examine the list to ensure
that their names and relevant information
are correctly shown. '
Complaints in the nature of requests for
additions or corrections to or delections
from the list may be made by an elector
completing and filing a form obtainable at
the Office of the Clerk.
The School Support list is also available
for inspection.
The last day for filing forms requesting
additions, corrections or deletions for either
list is the 22nd day of October, 1980.
