biological origins of hair, for a grand opening ad-
and how it becomes a
eroblem.
Electrolysis can remove
hair anyplace on the face or
body, with very few ex-
ceptions. Electrolysis is for
men as well as women.
Men too , may have
unwanted hair. The time
electrolysis takes often
depends on the client. The
more relaxed a client, the
more swiftly the elec-
trologist can remove the
hair.
There are numerous
factors involved that make
hair grow. A few are
inherited genes, glandUlar
problems, menopause, etc.
Mrs. La Porte uses three
different methods of elec-
trolysis. The Galvanic
System involves the client
holding an electrode, and a
cotton swab of saline
solution in the palm of her
hand.
The electrologist then
inserts the probe into the
hair follicle, and this starts a
chemical reaction around
the hair, which chemically
decomposes the hair.
In the short wave method,
an electrical current is
applied to the hair, electro-
coagulating it,
The blend method is a
combination of the two, used
on strong coarse hairs which
are deeply embedded.
Electrolysis can produce
emotional changes in a
person, who after elec-
trolysis, feels more confident
about their appearance.
Mrs. La Porte invites
anyone who is interested in
electrolysis to call her for a
private, confidential con-
sultation, at 236-4740.

Electrolysis, the art of
removing hair permanently,
has become increasingly
popular during recent years,
due to society's dictum that
women should remove ex-
cess hair.
As a result of this
demand for the clean look,
numerous electrolysis
clinics have grown up. all
across the country, run by
qualified electrologists,
One such clinic is now in
this area in St. Joseph,
operated by Rachelle La
Porte, registered elec-
trologist, who is an avid
believer in electrolysis, as
the only way to insure
premanent hair removal,
The process of electrolysis
is actually the removal of the
papilla (root) of the hair.
A probe is inserted in the
natural opening through
which the hair grows. Heat is
applied, cutting of 'the blood
supply to the papilla. The
hair is then free to remove.
The probe cannot be felt
entering.
During training, elec-
vertisement.
