Monday evening honouring
Nancy with a miscellaneous
shower,
Wednesday evening girl
friends of the bride-elect
held a shower for her at the
home of Miss Bonnie Sebben
Mitchell.
Sunday relatives of the
groom honoured Nancy with
a shower at Russeldale hall,
Nancy was the recipient of
many lovely gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Scott
returned home on the
weekend after enjoying a 2
week bus trip to the east
coast.
Mr. and Mrs. John
Templeman enjoyed a five
day bus trip to Madison
Wisconsin this past week
where they attended World
Dairy Expo.

TOP CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNERS — Public schools from the South Huron area held their
annual cross-country meet in Exeter Friday. Placing first in their respective divisions were
Doug Smith of McCurdy in the senior boys; Jody Mills of McCurdy, senior girls; and Brian
Topp, Exeter Public School, intermediate boys. In the front are Brad Borland, of Usborne,

Presbyterian Church held its
annual Thankoffering ser-
vice Sunday evening, A good
number attended the special
service sponsored by the
Ethel Elliott Evening group.
Ralph Robinson, an
engineer with General
Motors of Canada, spoke and
showed slides of his ex-
periences in Pakistan where
he spent most of last year. In
his work he was responsible
for the training of the
Pakistanian workers to
service a number of
locomotives his company
had sold their government,
and in this way learned to
know many of the
home in Aliso Craig Sunday
afternoon as persons came to
wish Simon Bender a happy
birthday. Keeping the secret
Pakistanian people and their
country.
Mr. Robinson is the son of
Mr. & Mrs, Charlie Robinson
of RR 4, Parkhill. He
recently was in Egypt also,
and will be travelling to
British Columbia later this
week.
The worship service was
conducted by Mrs. Everlyn
McNaughton. A duet was
sung by Mrs. McNaughton's
doughter and son-in-law,
Cheryl and Ian Burney.

Notice of the Public School elections of
Village of Grand Bend
Village of Thedford
Village of Bosanquet
TAKE NOTICE that persons may be
nominated as a candidate for the Office of
Member of the Lambton County Board of
Education in an election between 9 o'clock
in the forenoon and 5 o'clock in the after-
noon of nomination day, Monday, October
20, 1980, but nothing in section 35 of The
Municipal Elections Act, 1977 prevents a
person filing a nomination paper with the
clerk during his normal office hours during
the four days immediately preceding
nomination day.
Electors are hereby required to take
notice and govern themselves accor-
dingly,and further take notice that the
manner in which said nominations shall be
filed is set forth in section 36 of The
Municipal Elections Act. Nomination forms
and full particulars of procedures to be
followed, may be obtained from the under-
signed.
If a greater number of candidates than
required to fill the said office are
nominated and make the required
declarations, notice of the time far the
holding of the poll, including the advance
poll and notice of the last day for making
applications for a certificate to vote by
proxy will be given forthwith by the clerks
of each municipality.
