Friday night the program
was well attended. Everyone
enjoyed the bell ringers
from St. Marys, under the
capable direction of Julie
Stevens.
'Mr. and Mrs, Ben Thomp-
. son were given an award for
long service in fair work,
and Barry Beaman was
given a plaque for his work
in fair planning.
Ten young ladies com-
peted for "Queen of the
Fair" title and Mary
Lumsden was the winner
with Rhea Hughes being
chosen as runner-up. Nor-
man Hodgins was M.C.
Karen Masschelein was
Junior Baking Queen!
Saturday a parade was
followed by foot races, bed
races and horse races.
The Greenway Willing
Workers group had a booth
and with the money made
they sponsor a child in Peru
as well as contributing to
other needy projects. Many
area people visited on the
grounds; and in the arena,
where the quilts, baking etc.
were displayed.
Personals
Sunday Rev. Harley
Moore spoke on the work of
the church in the world and
the roll each individual
member is expected to play.
Anthems were sung by both
choirs. Next Sunday Rev.
Glen MacPherson of
Beachville will be in the
nulpit.
