With some consternation, I roused myself to discover the only thoughts I had after all that trouble concerned the three "Hs" - hot, hazy and humid, Everyone knows about them, but hopefully in September they'll give way to more comfortable climes. Like so many of you, I can't believe, the summer is over and I'm hoping for a reprieve in September and October to catch up on a few things I missed. We sang the hymn "Blessed Quietness." Mrs. Orval Hayter from Grand Bend gave the message of the afternoon. She asked the question, "what is the sweetest sound you ever heard"? An answer was the first cry of your newborn baby. This was her answer. She compared a natural birth to a spiritual birth. When one comes to Jesus the sweet words come forth "I am saved or something similar." We sang the chorus. "It will be worth it all when we see Jesus." We had a season of prayer. Lunch was served by the hostess and provided by Ruth McLaren and Yvonne Reynolds. The Women's Ministries from the Exeter Pentecostal Church was held at the home of Mrs. Milford Prouty on August 28. Mrs. Ruth McLaren presided over the meeting. The ladies sang the hymn "Ye must be born again." There is power in the Blood." The roll call was taken and answered by a scripture verse beginning with the letter of the ladies last name. •There were 14 present. It was decided in the meeting to give money to the Brazilian missionaries for Christmas. Mrs. Beulah Desjardine gave a missionary reading about Rev. and Mrs. Hirch who came in contact with Pentecost and received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, and were called into God's service.
