Revival
Centre
Gordon. Jensen. accom-
panying himself on the
piano, ministered In song for
the Revival Centre morning
service. Beginning with
singing "Jesus WilI Outshine
Them All". Mr. Jensen sang
many songs that told of life's
happenings.
Referring to a childhood
bully beating him up. he told
how our problems can
become bigger than we are.
But God is bigger than any
problem, as the song he then
sang told.
Mrs. Joan Cochrane
taught the Junior Church the
chorus "A Merry Heart
Doeth Good Like A
Medicine". Rev. ll i 11
Cochrane showed a Cana-
dian Passport, explaining
its use. Using a large Visa
model, he told its use is to
let one in•another country.
Then he told that to get into
the Kingdom of God we need
God's visa, the forgiveness
of God through Jesus Christ.
Illustrating Mark 16:15,
Mr, Jensen sang "Don't go
to Heaven Alone, Take
Somebody With You", Tell-
ing how depressing the news
broadcasts are, he spoke of
how blest Christians are
with the blessed hope of
Christ's return, of which he
sang. Telling how Jesus is no
longer limited to His
physical presence, he closed
with singing "He is as Close
as the Mention of His
Back from their holiday in
Vancouver. Mrs. John Ar-
mitage played piano for the
evening service, while Rick'
Thornton led the singing.
Mrs. Joan Cochrane
played her guitar as she sang
"Don't you Know?" James
Henry told how his Christian
witness is to love someone
even when they wrong him
befor he ,sang "Shepherd of
Love".
Rev. Ray Bi'ewster
ministered from Psalm 133
telling how pleasant it is for
church members' to live in
unity. When they are in har-
mony, God's presence will
be with them. This brings
the anointing of 'God's Holy
Spirit in our church services.
Disunity will stop the
anointing of God and stop
people from walking in love.
There will always bp
problems in a church as well
as in our lives., but we can
turn them over to God in
prayer. Talk the problem
over' with God. Getting upset
with problems causes people
.to say wrong things, while
unity brings refrisliing and a
blessing from God. Holy
Communion was celebrated
at end of the service.
Upcoming events
This fall the church
hockey will be held Tuesday
evenings from 9 to 10 p.m.
due to changes in the Lucan
Arena schedules.
