chased two more runs across
the plate.
In the eighth the final run
was produced when Dave
Bogart singled and scored on
another one base blow by
Dave Shaw.
Cowgirls beat
St. Peters 'club
The Crediton Cowgirls
scored a 20-4 victory over St.
Peters Monday in their only
start this week in the district
ladies fastball league.
The, Cowgirls will be in
Poplar Hill Thursday at 8:30,
p.m. and will be home at the
Crediton park at 9 p.m. Mon-
day to take on the Parkhill
girls for their last scheduled
game.
The Cowgirls scored four
runs in the first inning Mon-
day and broke the game
wide open with eight more .
runs.
Carol Stuart banged out
home runs in each of the
first two innings. She added
tyre singles later.
Deb Lord was the top
batter with six singles in the
same number of trips to the
plate.
Michelle Vandergunst con-
tributed a triple, double and
single to the Crediton calk.
Adding two hits apiece were
Faye Hayter and Merna
Scott. Sandy O'Neill and
Shelley Weber picked up one
hit apiece.
The four St. Peters runs
came in ,the fifth inning and
were powered by hits from
the bats of Anne Hall, Lynn
Cronyn, June Glavin, Carla
Revington and Kathy
Heywood.
