July 12 to 18, at the New YOrit,
State Fairgrounds, in
Syracuse, NeW York..
The weather was perfect
very warm and windy for :the.
many outside activities
planned for the week-long
event. More than 4,200:
camping units from most of
the United; States and
several Canadian Provinces
attended the affair..
Activities • for all ages,
were available,. The coterie
Teens were winners of three
trophies - volleyball (first);
tug-of-wag (first); softball
(second). There were very
enjoyable programmes each
evening, as well as church
services, hospitalities from
various states and provin-
ces, parades (nightly),
tours, etc., and the teen
queen (pageant:

Louisiana • was the winner.
The 1979 N.C.H.A. Camp-
vention was held in Guelph, .
and the Nomads took a very
active part in assisting the
host Province, Ontario, with
many various duties and

After leaving Syracuse,

Lutheran Church, Zurich. Pastor Jack Dressler and Pastor
Clayton Kuepfer officiated. Music was provided by Miss
Elaine Westlake, and organist was Mrs. Audrey Haberer. The
bride was attended by her Matron of Honour, Christine
Eagleson. Bridesmaids Debbie Runnels and. Carol Erb. Junior
bridesmaid was Karren Stevenson. The flower girls were"Jodi
Erb and Michelle Steckle. Best. man was Mr. Charles Erb.

Koehler of Hensall. The groom's parents are Mr. Edward. Ar-
nold, Lbndon, and Mrs. Isabel Bird of Parry Sound. Matron of
HOnour was Natalie Mason and bridesmaids were Debbie Ar-
nold and Connie Koehler. The best man was John Mason and
guests were ushered by John Arnold and Paul Arnold. The
couple are now residing in Huron Park.

with Rev. Fr. J. Bensette officiating. The bride is the daughter

son of Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Janyu of Wallaceburg. The
matron of honour was Marilyn Regier, friend of the bride. The

MR. AND MRS. WESLEY STANLEY
Helen Brown, daughter of Rev, and Mrs. Keith Brown and
Wesley Stanley, son of Honor Stanley and the late Emerson
Stanley were united in marriage by the bride's father, assisted
by Pastor Jim Stanley, on July 5. Maid of Honour was Beth
Brown and bridesmaids were Janice Pilgrim and Debbie
McRobert. The best man was Ed Melanson and ushers were
David Brown and David Stanley. Music was provided by
organist Carolyn Ries; pianist Norma Clare, flutist Anita Evans
and vocalists Marg and Dave Hinds on their guitars. Follow-
ing a motor trip to the West Coast the couple will reside on
the groom's farm on Con. 16 of London Twp.
