The service in Hensall
United Church on Sunday
morning was in charge of
Lorne Thrower with the
message being delivered by
Mr. Robert Elliott of Clin-
ton, He spoke on the building
of walls. In the Old Testa-
ment, Nehemiah describes
the rules, and regulations in
'effect at that time for the
building of the walls around
Jerusalem which was com-
pleted in 52 days. In the New
Testament Paul describes:
the walls being built by the
Christians as they practised
their religion. Walls are be-
ing built nowadays, and
must be.against the changing
morals of society, the
church' and government.
Dedication and
perserverance will build
these walls.
Soloist was Miss Mary
Goodwin who sang "I've
asked the Lord" and
organist and pianist was
Mrs. Gertrude Middleton.
The Children's story was
about the "Lost Coin". Next
Sunday Rev. Stan McDonald
will be back from vacation
and will be conducting the
service. ,
Need leaders •
Once again it's time to
think about 4-H Clubs and
again Leaders are needed. If
your daughter or son is
between the age of 12 and 26
he or she is eligible to attend
these club and you are need-
ed as a leader. The next club
is a cooking club. "Food for
Friends" and leadership
training classes will be held
around the county on various
dates at the end of August
and the beginning of
September,
If you are interested and
think you can help, please
get in touch with Mrs. Carl
Payne at 262-5018. Don't
forget - no leaders no
clubs.
