Above, Wendy watches some of the other contestants in action. , The Exeter and area men's rec fastball league have announced plans for a 12 team fastball tournament which will take place in mid- August. Tournament organizer Larry Beuerman said the top six teams in the local rec loop in addition to teams from Zurich, Seaforth and Clinton will be taking part in- the tournament which will be held August 16 and 17, Teams will be vying for a total Of $400 in cash prizes including $200 for the winner of the A division, Supplying the winners of both the A and B divisions with trophies will be Molson's Breweries and RDS Sportsden. Pair of victories for Crediton girls The Crediton Cowgirls scored victories in their two area ladies fastball games played this week. Thursday, the Crediton girls defeated Biddulph 13-10 and Monday night scored a single run in the bottom of .the seventh inning to edge Ailsa Craig 10-9 . Tomorrow night. Thurs- day the Cowgirls will be in Lucan and Monday night they will be at home to Parkhill. Deb Lord's single with the bases loaded and one out scored the winning run in the final inning.
