JASON BROWN Catherine Anne Hamather and Jason John Brown exchanged marriage vows Saturday, July 19, at the Hensall United Church with Rev. Stanley McDonald officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamather, Zurich and Mr. and Mrs. John Brown, Woodstock are parents of the groom. The maid of honour was Lisa Hamather and bridesmaids were Cheryl O'Brien, Lois Latour and Jodi Brown. The best man was Terry Howard and guests were u'shered by Shane brown, Stephen Thompson. and Tim Hamather. The organist was Mary Moffat and Betty Beer was solist. JOHN JOHNS Margaret Frances Hunkin and John Norman Johns were married at Thames Road United Church on July 4 with Rev. Mervyn Love and Pastor Ross Hargreaves officiating. The bride'is the daughter 'of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hunkin, RR 1 Kirkton, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johns, RR 1 Woodham. The maid of honour was, Helen Campbell, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dorothy Law- son, Carol Love and Kathryn Hendrick. James Weston, friend of the groom, was best man. Guests were ushered by Stephen Johns, Alec Johns and Kenneth Hunkin. Agnes Bray provided the organ music and Maxine Sereda sang. The farm- gate price was $19,69, an increase of 14 cents over May but 48 cents less than in June 1979. The farm-retail spread has increased from $12.98 last June, to $15.88 this month. This.is an increase of 22.3 per cent. The farm-retail spread is the cost to the consumer of processing, packaging, distributing and mer- chandising food. Their son, Randy, a free lance cartoonist and artist living in New York has• used his parents home as a model in a cartoon he did for the Times. The cartoon illustrates a story on selling a house in a tough market.
