The Tigers picked up only
three 'hits in losing to Byron
in a tilt that went scoreless
until the home crew' posted
both their tallies in the
bottom of the sixth frame.
They picked up three of
their nine hits off Bruijus. in
that frame to post the win.
Baynham, Bestard and
Robinson bad the Dashwood
hits, The Tigers managed to
get runners into,scoring

Tigers triumph in only one of three tilts
The ladies club at
Ironwood golf course will
participate in "funny golf",
when they take to the links in
their regular action this
week,
Members are required to
pick up the novel in-
structions in the clubhouse
before teeing off.
Hidden score winners last
week were Verla Russell,
Joyce Morgan, Gail Skinner,
Sandy Rowe, Elaine Skinner
and Ede. Boyle.
Ann Skelding won the dobr
prize.
Saveway win

Saveway narrowed the
count to 2'l in the bottom of
the fourth as Brian Taylor
singled and scored on Dave
Watson's single. ,
They tied the score in the
fifth as Dennis Bierling
doubled and scored on Gary
Skinners single, They scored
the winning run in the bot-
tom of the sixth as -Dave
Watson doubled and John
Gillespie's sacrifice fly
scored him,
Bruce McLelland started
for Sylvan and was relieved
by Bruce Furntey Who took
the loss. They combined: to
strike out Onb batter and
gave up six hits.
Jamie Eveleigh picked up
the win for Saveway as he
allowed only 5 hits while
striking out 3 hatters.
Saveway played in Nairn
last night (Tuesday) while
Thursday they, travel to
Parkhill and on Sunday they
travel' to Lucan.
The Dashwood Tigers,
posted one win in three
outings this week, one lass
being to the Clinton Colts. It
was the third time in the past
three weeks they've been
handcuffed by the northern
crew,
Clinton took a 9-2 win as
they played on the Tigers'
home field, Friday.
The visitors scored one in
the second, added three
more in the fourth and then
capped it off with another
three-run outburst in the
eighth.
Cam:McDonald worked on
the hill for the Colts and shut
Dashwood out until the
bottom of the ninth when
they scored both tallies, '
Thurman led off with a
double and scored on a
groundout and single by
Coghlan. The latter was out
on, a fielder's choice by
Heywood, ,who then came
around to score on singles by
Guenther and Wuerth,
Heywood paced the Tigers
at the plate with three
singles. Adding safeties in
addition to Thurman
were. Baynham, Coghlan,
Guenther and Wuerth.
Heywood went the
distance fOr Dashwood to
take the loss as he gave up 12
hits.
