nard E. Boland recently
graduated from the Royal
Military College of Canada
at Kingston, Ontario. He
received a degree in
Mechanical Engineering and
was commissioned as a
Lieutenant in the Canadian
Armed Forces. Bernard is the
son of John and Margaret
Boland of RR 3 Lucan.

teresting June meeting when
they motored to the Hillside
Nursing. Home on Highway
8.
After a short business
meeting by the president
Mrs. George Burgin, Mrs.
Earl Stephen' reported on
her weekend at Westminster
College. It was decided to
send a delegate to Alma
College.
Mrs. J. Robinson and Mrs.
J. Wiles conveners of Com-
munity Friendship opened
the meeting with the
residents of the nursing
home with community sing-
ing of old time favorites.
Readings were given by
Mrs. J. Wiles, Mrs. Robin-
son and Mrs. R. Ratcliffe.
Mrs. C. Ross sang a solo
and Mrs. J. Stephen and
Mrs. E. Stephen played a
piano duet.
The Kirkton ladies served
a cup of tea and cookies.
The Nursing Home thank-
ed the Kirkton ladies for an
enjoyable afternoon.
