The theme for the day was The Circus. Employees contributed stuffed animals to the display and on either end of the room were clowns on trapezes. The room was decorated with streamers and balloons which the employees helped to put up. Signs reading, "Caution, wild animals, Do not pet!", and "Please don't feed the animals," adorned the walla. The purpose of the open house, held twice a year, is to educate the public about what the employees at ARC can do and to sell their lawn furniture and ceramics. Staff member Vicki McLeod said that the last of the ceramics were on display. She said that when ARC first started up the employees had the time to do lots of crafts, But now they are getting lots of contract n worn and haven't ea MO .0:114 for them. *$.144044009 said that there Iva a very good market r for ceramics anymore because too many people are making. their own. have. to come up with. a new and unique craft," she said. Most of the work done at ARC is contract work. But. ARC does make and sell its own Cedare brand name lawn furniture. Mrs. McLeod said that they have done. really well with the lawn furniture and find it hard to keep up with the orders..
