Teh quilts were all donated by Institute members, present and former and family members of Institute members. The Institute members also prepared salads for a barbeque this past weekend. Elimville Sunday School Anniversary was Celebrated Sunday morning with a good attendance. The guest speaker was. Mr. Everett Wilson who chose "Celebrating Christ's' Vic- tory" as his sermon. The Sunday School choir sang several anthems. ,The Elimville Thames Road C.G.I.T. girls attended a camp out at the Wildwood Dam on the weekend. There BOX 550, EXETER were seven girls and two leaders present from Elimville. The group numbered 1200 girls and 372 leaders. A candle light • ceremony was held on Saturday evening. Lieutenant-governor Pauline McGibbon visited the camp out and spoke to all the girls and leaders present. 4-H meet The first meeting of Elimville I and II was held at the Elimville ball park. The leaders outlined the project "Outdoor Living". The 4-H program has included boys in their summer project. The first meeting involved a fitness test. All the By MRS. They went to Swain's Greenhouses at West Lorne had dinner at the Lakeshore Terrace Hotel at Kingsville,. ;called at the Jack Miner's Bird Sanctuary also. the Golasanti Farms Ltd. at Ruthiren. It was a very in- teresting And enjoyable. trip. Mr. and Mrs. Everett 'Wilson and Paul, Salford visited with Pastor Ross and Mrs. Hargreaves Sunday and all were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pym of Elimville. Mr. and Mrs. Staff Love, London were Sunday supper guests with Pastor Ross and Mrs. Hargreaves. A large number of people from this community at- tended the pork barbecue at the Co-op in Exeter Friday evening. Arnold Cann and Howard Cunnington were lucky draw winners. Several from this com- munity attended Elimville anniversary Sunday when Mr. Everett Wilson, Salford was the guest speaker. His sermon was "Celebrating Christ's Victory," which was very inspiring. The ladies of the United Church Women catered to 660 people at their Strawberry arid-Hain supper Monday night. Miss Mary JohnS spent the weekend in Whitby and Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Robert Waddell, Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sweitzer, Exeter, Mr. Peter Vandersley, Whitby were guests with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johns. Services will be as usual on Sunday, June 29 with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and church at 11:15 a.m. A Christian Education meeting will be held Wed- nesday evening June 25 at 8:30 p.m. A joint session meeting will be held at the manse Wednesday evening July 2 at 8 p.m. By MRS. McDowell in Seaforth, June 18. Carol Keys, a counsellor at the John Street Adult Group Home in Exeter was in- troduced by Mrs. Robert Bell and thanked for her in- formative address by Mrs. Harold Parsons. With slides Carol told of the different needs of the mentally handicapped and of their graduation from John Street Group Home to James Street Group Home to their own apartment under the Support Worker's super- vision. Mrs. James Chalmers gave current events and courtesy remarks. Mrs. Robert Bell gave several readings, Mrs. Parsons conducted a contest. Lunch was served by the hostess and co-hostess Mrs. Wm. Bell and the committee Mrs. Vern Alderdice and Mrs. Charles Eyre. Personals Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lovell on their 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries, respectively. Strawberries are being picked at Jack Bell's and Leonard Lovell's. St. Andrew's Church, Kippen is getting a new roof. Mrs. Percy Wright is entertaining her two grandchildren, the family of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Scott, Cromarty. Sympathy is expressed to Nelson Hood and family in the death of Mrs. Hood. members completed several tests and recorded their results. At the end of the project the members will complete the same tests and record their progress. Each club elected officers. The president of Elimville I is Barb Skinner and vice- president is Jean Burwell, Tracey Coward was elected president of Elimville II. Lori Kerslake is Elimville's II's vice president. The leaders of Elimville I are Shirley Wilkenson and Brenda Hovius. Joan Cooper, Gerald Johns and Bob Wilsom are leaders of Elimville II.
