Attend Graduation Mr. and Mrs. Dave Cottel attended the 231 convocation • of The University of Western Ontario, at Alumni Hall on June 10, as guests of Mr, Cottel's brother, Wayne Caldwell, London. Wayne graduated from the Faculty of Social Science with his Bachelor of Arts. Degree in Honors Geography, He also received the Chancellor's prize for the highest overall marks in Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology and History, He was the first geography student in the University history to receive this award. He also received the Thomas B. Richardson Gold Medal in Geography. Also attending were his wife Deb. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cald- "There is always a best way of doing everything if it be a boil an egg." ThQ chicken was bar- becued on the site of Bar B Que Chef's operated by John Rowe of Wellesley. The Parks. Board would like to thank all those who helped in any way and all those who baked pies. Thank. you also to Mrs. Joe Averill for the use of her equipment, at the Stardust. A few pie plates were left at the hall. They may be picked up at Eleanor Roeszler's After the meal a most interesting ball game followed with the CFPL Superstars playing the favorite Cowgirls. The Cowgirls were in- troduced then Brother Benedict Benedictine of the Royal Order of Chinese Food, most sanctioniously blessed the bases. The superstars were then introduced and the no holes, no confetti balls, grapefruit balls, and no oar or beach ball barred game got un- derway. When the Superstars took CLANDEBOYE Seventeen members and several visitors enjoyed the visit to Craigholme nursing home, Ailsa Craig Wed- nesday. President, Mrs. Harold Hardy, opened the meeting with the Institute Ode, Mary Stewart Collect and the Lord's Prayer. Roll call was an old saying or proverb. The residents were asked to participate in the roll call. Community singing was led by June Henry with Winnie Robicheau ac- companying on the piano. Catherine, Cheryl and Bonnie Lynn sang two numbers, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Amazing Grace". Barbara Carter gave a comical reading about a bridal shower and was dressed to suit the occasion. Following Institute Grace the members served hors- doeuvres and home made. cookies which the residents seemed to enjoy very much. After visiting, a short meeting was held in the board office.Readings were given by Mrs. Jim Cun- ningham and Mrs. Roy Cunningham. Final plans for attending Huron Country PlayhouseAugust 28 was discussed. Youth service Service at Clandeboye United 'Church' • Sunday morning was in charge of the community youth group. TheSe young people have been meeting together for a year or so under the leadership of Barb Ban- nerman and Bryan Smith and helpers Linda and Dale Froats, About 25 young people participated in the service which included a special. choir accompanied by Helen Brown on the piano and Rick Freeman with his guitar and soloists Ruth Hardy and Laura McKenzie. Tami McRoberts told the children's story. Barb Bannerman gave the special message, "Love." These young people are to be commended for their fellowship and participation in God's service. Personals Mr. and Mrs, Wilmer Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Lee were in Ottawa for the weekend to attend the 40th wedding• anniversary celebration for Beryl and Lionel Shipley. The Scott's planned also to visit another sister of Mary's, Barbara Faulkner in Smith Falls, who 'is-very ill Mrs. Art Hodgins, ac- companied by Mrs. Murray Hodgins, Lucan, attended the Beechwood W.I. Tweedsmuir History Tea and Quilt display held in Beechwood hall, Tuesday. Clarence Millson and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Millson spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Millson at Grand Bend. Jean and Pat Hodgins attended the Morley reunion held in Seaforth Park, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ramsey, Forest were Father's Day visitors with their daughter Winnie and Al Robicheau.
