A special mission service
on World Development,
Service and Relief through
the United Church of Canada
was presented at Clandeboye
U.C. Sunday morning by the
Clandeboye - Lucan Mission
and Service Committee to
inform the congregation of
their Live-Love projects.
Participating in the ser-
vice were Rev. Keith Brown,
Hazel Williams, Gwen Lynn,
Marjorie Park, Sharon
Newman, Mabel Froats, Iva
Hodgins and Barbara
Gibson. The girls choir sang,
"He's got the Whole World in
his Hands."

An invitation to join Lucan
W.I. on their bus trip to
Niagara on the Lake, June 3
was read. Mrs. Jim Cun-
ningham gave a very in-
teresting report on Officers
Conference she attended in
early May at Waterloo
University.
She started her report with
a humorous dialogue to
depict the importance of
preparing programs, and as
well, passing along much
information she had learned
at the conference. Mrs. Rea
Neil and Mrs. Art. Hodgins
gave reports of the District
Annual, held in Lucan.

Guest minister on Mission
and Service Sunday in the
United Church was the Rev.
Robert Witmer, Goderich,
who was ordained during the
London Conference sessions
held in London earlier this
month. He and his wife and
children will be going to
Japan 'in late July. Next
Sunday the Rev. Morley
Clarke, London, will occupy
the pulpit.
Friends and relatives from
London, Toronto, and other
cities in Ontario gathered at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Herb Piper recently to offer
good wishes to their son,
Dwayne, who has accepted a
position with the Hudson Bay
Company and will be leaving
shortly for Edmonton where
he will receive notice as to
where he will be working,
Weekend visitors with Mr.
and MrS. Harvey Wainer
were their daughter Joanne
and friend, Paulette Barnes
of Guelph. Paulette, whose
home is in Thunder Bay
enjoyed her first visit to this
part of Ontario.

the Ray Brooks family trophy. The presentation was made by
