T-A photo With the' Exeter and area men's rec fastball league season almost a month old the big surprise continues to be the performance of the league's newest entry, the Hawks. The youngsters, stretched their undefeated string to four games Monday when they defeated Gord's 11-5. The Hawks are an top with eight points followed closely by Hensall who have four wins and two losses. • Alone in third spot are defending champs the Crescent Rolls with three wins and a single loss. Cord's rounds out the top four with three wins and a pair of defeats. In the number five spot are McKnights with a 500 record of two wins and two defeats. Mt. Carmel follows the clothing team on the basis of a two win and three loss record. Tied for seventh spot with two and four records are Usborne and Hurondale. Battling for the final playoff spot are Dashwood Industries and the Car- petbaggers with one win each in four games. In other games played Monday, Usborne doubled up Hurondale 6-3, DIL trounced McKnights 12-2 and Hensall got by the Carpetbaggers 9-6. Wednesday's action saw Hensall edge Mt. Carmel 5-4 the Crescent Rolls thumping Hurondale 13-2 and the Carpetbaggers defeating Usborne 6-1.
