They were married at Mrs. Becker's parents' home in Usborne Township in 1930. Rev. B. Rhodes of Caven Presbyterian Church in Exeter officiated. The couple have liv- ed in Dashwood throughout the marriage. Valentine Becker worked as an agent for International Harvester Company in Dashwood for 47 years and has served 20 years in municipal affairs. He was both reeve and deputy reeve of Hay Township. The, Beckers have 13 children, 30 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family of Valentine and Verna Becker invite their relatives, friends and neighbours to an Open House at their residence in Dashwood on May 25 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. NOW! MRS; PETER' MARTIN CREDITQN Thursday afternoon 24. ladies or the Crediton visited the Lambton Museum. After a. very in- formative tour the group proceeded to P.akweod Inn for a delicious smorgasbord supper. A meeting followed at Jean Neil's cottage. A short devotional was given by Marie Fydenchuk and Doreen Lightfoot. Topic being, "Mothers,". Games were conducted by Jean Neil and Joyce Pres= tor. A good time was had by all. Grandmothers honoured Sunday morning saw a goodly number of people at Zion United Church for Mother's Day. The choir sang a lovely number. "They That Sew in Tears, Shall Reap in Joy." As is the custom each year all great grandmothers and grandmothers received a lovely yellow rose corsage and 33 corsages were pinned on by Mrs. Walter Fyden- chuk and Mrs. Allan Fink- beiner, Following the pinning of the grandmothers, Rev. Brian Elder conducted the service of baptism. Personals Sunday afternoon Leila Finkbeiner, Irene Fink- beiner, Marie and Anne Fydenchuk visited with Ella Morlock of Craigweil Apartments, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Caldwell and family, Blyth and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Caldwell, London, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Dave Cottel, Arlene and Allen. Visitors with Rev. and Mrs. Armin Schlenker were Mr, and Mrs. Max Howard and Matthew of Chatham. The Crediton Firemans Association are again planning a geld fireworks display at the ball park on Monday, May 19th. Last year they had a very good display and this year promises to be better. Everyone is welcome to attend. A blood donor clinic at South Huron Secondary School will be held May 29th, All blood donors are reminded of this clinic. With summer coming the demand for blood is higher and a plentiful supply of this life sustaining substance is required. Be a blood donor and give the gift of life. Fete bride at Kippen By MRS. RENA CALDWELL KIPPEN A shower arranged by Mrs. Ken Richardson and Diane Richardson for Barbara Cooper was 'held at Doug Cooper's May 4. Some contests were played. Relatives were. present from London, Tillsonburg, Kit- chener, Exeter, Hensall, Zurich and the Kippen area. Kippen East W.I. will meet in Hensall United Church May 21 with the 4-H clubs and their leaders as guests. Roll call will be "A bargain that wasn't a bargain." Out of town guests at the Ferguson-Cooper wedding held in Kippen United Church May 10 were: Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Marshall, Marian Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jaques from Mississauga, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles McCarter, Bob- caygeon ; Mr. and Mrs. Ray McCarter, Mr. and Mrs. John McCarter, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff McCarter, Detroit Michigan. Many cousins from Brant- ford, Chatham, Owen Sound, and Windsor were present at the evening reception. Mr. and Mrs. W.L.
