The first show of the
season for the Lucan Hor-
semanship club was held on
the Lucan Community
Centre grounds Sunday,
commencing at 12 p.m.
Ribbons for first to fifth
prizes were presented to
many of the 25 members
taking part in various
events, with Terry Deeks as
judge.
The President, Bill
Shannon, R.R. 4 Denfield did
the announcing and mem-
bers were present from
London, Denfield, Granton
and Lucan.
The next show will be held
June 15, commencing at 12
pan. and anyone with horses
is welcome to come and join
the club.

District High School, being
celebrated this weekend, the
Rev. Mervyn Love will be
the guest minister on Sun-
day. The U.C.W. are serving
refreshments following the
10 a.m. service. Former
students and the church
membership are extended a
special invitation to attend.
At the service on. Sunday.

School is the death of Miss
Mary Baird, Chatham on
May 4th. She was this
correspondent's teacher
when he was in Second Class.
Mrs. Keith Young is
convalescing at ther home,
having undergone surgery at
St. Joseph's Hospital,
earlier.
A family gathering Was
held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Dave Dawe, Sunday
following the Grand Bend
United Church service,
where their daughter, Cristy
Lynn, was baptized.
Mrs. Martha Geromette
and Mrs. Olive Horner were
among those who enjoyed a
chartered bus trip to Quebec,
last week.
