Agriculture and Canadian
Industries convener Mrs.
Emil Becker, was in charge
of the program.
Roll call was "the farm
chore I disliked the most"
and the motto taken by Mrs.
Becker was "whether a
fellow ends up with a goose
egg or a nest of eggs depends
on the chick he marries."

guest speaker, talking on
Poultry from the time baby
chicks arrive at his barn,
until they are shipped to
processing plants, Jack tells,
us he has been in the
business 40 years,
Dashwood Two club
presented their exhibit
"moving along with
macrame", commented on
by Wendy Vanderhoek.
Club Three exhibit "color
cues" was presented by
Alice and Irene Dietrich.
Janet Regier was given a
gift from the W.I. for ob-
taining county honours,
Mrs. Earl Keller was
congratulated on receiving
her ten year leadership
award in 4:H.

A large crowd attended
the miscellaneous communi-
ty shower for Carolyn Lewis
Wednesday evening in the

Carolyn in opening the gifts
and she expressed her
thanks for them, then lunch
followed.
The ladies. Guild of St.
Marys church, Brinsley held
their regular meeting in the
church basement, Tuesday.
Plans were finalized for ser-
ving the Masonic banquet in
Lucan. Mrs. John Drury and
Mrs. Don Scott were
the hostesses.
Mr, and Mrs. Garnet
Trevithick of St. Thomas
were Tuesday visitors with
Mr. and Mr;s. Jack
Trevithick.
Mrs. George Prest visited
last week with her aunt

different species of plants,
which she displayed and told
their names and how to care
for them. She was very in-
teresting and informative,
All plants were for sale so
many folks were happy to be
taking home new plants .
Several humorous songs
were sung by Carol Robinson
from St. Marys who ac-
companied herself on the
guitar. There was a plant
exchange at the close of
meeting,
