In a candlelight setting on Saturday April 12 at Exeter
Pentecostal Tabernacle, Rev, Keith Gonyou performed the
wedding ceremony uniting Maurine Gail Erb, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Erb, RR 3 Zurich, to Randy William. Stanlake, Ex-
eter. Martha Erb, of Guelph was maid of honour and Rick
Schwartzentruber, Exeter was best man. Bridesmaids were
Tracey Stanlake, Exeter, Kelly Martin, and Grace Triebner, RR
3 Exeter. The groomsmen were Marvin Erb, RR 1 Zurich, Terry
Schwartzentruber, Exeter, Murray Erb, RR 3 Zurich and Calvin
Stanlake, Exeter. The couple will reside at RR 3 Zurich,

after being active in the
School system of India for
three years, challenged her
listeners to go out to meet
our immigrants, many who
come from third World and
Asian Communities where
there is a close-knit family
relationship and these people
are very lonely. Chapel
services are supplied in the
school system of India
although it is not com-
pulsory. Christianity is a
minority group, as only 21/2
percent of students are
Christians. On Wednesday
afternoon, Rev. H. Morris,
Listowel Chairman of the
Board of World Mission paid
tribute to Rev. Deane
Johnson, former Central
minister for his contribution
which led up to the formation

Colleen Ann Kerslake and Terry Robert Lang were united in
Exeter United Church by Rev, James Forsythe on Saturday
April 5,•1980. Colleen is the daughter of Robert and Marion
Kerslake of Exeter, and Terry is the son of Robert and Joan
,Lang of St. Marys. Janet Kerslake, cousin of the bride was
maid of honour and. Sandra Lemmon and Cheryl Smith were
bridesmaids. Lana Smith was the flower girl. Maurice
Coward, friend of the groom was best man and Dale Kerslake
and Vic Smith were ushers. Danny Smith was ringbearer,
Robert Coates was the master of ceremonies. Following a trip
toFrankenmuth,Michigan, the couple has taken up residence in

The Women's Ministries
from the Exeter Pentecostal
Tabernacle meeting was
held at the home of Mrs.
Jenny Kipfer of Hensall on
April 24.
Mrs. Ruth McLaren
presided over the service
and asked for Mrs. Eizenga
to open in prayer. Jenny
Kipfer led in the singing.
The roll call was taken and
answered by a scripture
verse pertaining to the
Easter. There were 15
present.
The minutes were read by
Mrs. Shirley Prouty. The
treasurer's report was given
by Mrs. Mary Blanchard.
In business members
decided to send money for
Mrs. Foder's birthday who is
home in furlough from
Brazil, also to Rev, Ken
Eburine in Quebec.
Mrs. Dorothy Hockey told
about a Missionary who was
on 100 Huntley St., Ernie
Tannie Tanner from Swit-
zerland who went amongst
killers with a helicopter. She
gave a reading concerning
Heaven.
Mrs. Ruth Durand gave a
solo "Precious Lord Take
My Hand." The group was
happy to have Mrs. Ellen
Kendrick in the service from
the Queensway Nursing
Home.
Mrs. Yvonne Reynolds
gave a message entitled
"The Tale of Two Wives".
A season of prayer was
held and lunch was provided
by the hostess, Mrs.Keith
.Gonyou and Mrs. Milford
Prouty.
Paris Presbyterial hosted
the 33rd Annual meeting of
the Hamilton-London
Synodical of the Women's
Missionary Society (W,D,) of
the Presbyterian Church in
Canada on April 22 and 23 in
Central Presbyterian
Church, Brantford,
President of the Synodical is
Mrs. Carl Remus, Walkerton
and the conference chosen as
its theme "Challenge of the
Eighties", The Registrar,
Mrs, Olive MaeDonald of
Alfred St. Brantford
reported an attendance of
233.

Presbyterial included Mrs.
Strang, Exeter; Mrs.
Derek Nind, Listowel; Mrs.
D. McTavish and Mrs. Wm.
Bell, Shakespeare; Mrs, J.

Mrs. Clare Veatch, Cran-
brook; Mrs. Edna Simmons,
Exeter; and Mrs. Robert
Dunseith, St. Pauls.
The devotions at each of
the business sessions were in
charge of the past president
of Synodical, Mrs.. A.
Mundell of Gorrie. She based
her talks on the theme
beginning with the
deepening of our faith
followed by Enduring for Joy
which Was Scripture verses
on the theme reinforced by
the witness of hymn writers;
The next challenge and
closing devotion was to Run.
with Patience, a seeming
paradox. There will be
difficulties and temptations
along the way and things
won't happen as quickly as
once would like but that
doesn't mean stop.
Mr. Mark Moffatt, a
member of • the Board of
Camp Kintail and a Political
Science Student outlined
activities at the Camp for
Children and Young People
where a solid moral and
spiritual base is formed for
Christian living. Synodical
decided to sent a needy child
to camp this from from
Chatham Presbyterial.
Skits by Sarnia

Presbyterial "The Essence
of Mission" were en-
tertaining, amusing and
certainly educational.
