Staffa women, 4-H groups keep active

Mrs. Larry Gardiner
hosted the April meeting of
the Marion Ritchie Evening
Auxiliary at her home April
15, with 14 ladies present.
Mrs, Gardiner presided,
opening with a poem "To-
night". Lisa Gardiner
delighted everyone with a
,piano instrumental "Life
Guard." Roll call was an-
swered by reading a verse
from the book of Galatians.
The collection was dedicated
by Mrs. Gardiner,
The president, Mrs. Alec
Miller presided for the
business, when it was con-
firmed that Mrs. Carter
Kerslake would be attending
the Synodical in Brantford
from April 22-24. The May
meeting was reviewed, this
being our talent sale the
home helpers will be invited
to this meeting.
Mrs. Gordon.Scott chose as
her topic two Easter Poems
"Come To The Garden" and
"A Stone Is Rolled Away."
Mrs. Ivan Norris delighted
everyone with a piano in-
strumental "Farewell
Waltz" as her special
number. chapter 3 of the
Study Book on Human
Rights entitled "Freedom of
Religion " was taken by
Mrs, Alec Miller.
4-H clubs

George Vivian and Mrs.
Spencer Jeffery and No.
with leaders. Mrs. Charles

Achievement night for the

Parables" was the subject
chosen by Mr. Paul Schott
for his sermon in the United
Church Sunday morning.
The choir sang an anthem
and there was organ and
piano music throughout the
service by Mr. Gill and
Penny Smith.
Two beautiful pots of
mums were placed in the
church by Mr. and Mrs. W.
Palmer, St. Catharines, in
memory of her parents and
brother, the late Mr. and
Mrs. George Hepburn and
Jack.
