Don Stinson, an owner of
Bluewater Cable TV Ltd. in
'Huron County, wants the
Canadian' radio-telei,ision
and the telecommunications
Commission to think so.
In a letter to the CRTC
committee studying ex-
tension of TV service to
remote Canadian com-
munities, Stinson says
reliable Satellite reception
would end his subscribers'
complaints about poor
picture quality.
He said his company is
having trouble providing
U.S, channels with reliable
quality because its con-
ventional cable TV antennas
are barely able to pull in
signals from Detroit and
Buffalo.
The Bluewater letter is one
of more than 300 submissions •
being considered by the
CRTC committee before it
reports to the full com-
mission May 15. The service
extension issue involves four
percent of the Canadian
population who live in
remote areas receiving no
television or only CBC
service.

Canada, CN, CBC, and CRTC
are already firmly in French
Canadian control.
Why are these things
taking place!? Two former
Members of Parliament
have told me that Mr.
Trudeau's goal is an all-
French Canada, One of
them, Mr. Leonard Jones,
the former mayor of Monc-
ton, said that 'the job is
already done and that if
English-speaking Canada
doesn't stand up now, we've
already lost this country.
I am suggesting that we
stop worrying about Quebec,
for Quebec has no intention
of leaving the Canada that it
already controls. Instead we
should now be declaring the
nine provinces outside of
Quebec to be English-
speaking, just as Quebec has
declared itself to be French-
speaking. Then let Quebec
join us on our terms. If not
we will be joining Quebec on
its terms, and those terms,
with Mr. Trudeau as arbiter,
mean an all-French Canada.
If I didn't have proof of
what was going on in my first
book "Bilingual Today,
French Tomorrow", there is
no shortage of proof in my
recent book "Backdoor
Bilingualism", where I also
suggest how we can put an
end to this undeclared war
for our country. Our
politicians have failed us,
and now it is up to Canadians
themselves. Either we move
now Or we might as well
learn to say "Yes sir" in
French.
Yours sincerely,
J.V. Andrew,
Lt. Cmdr. (Retired)
