The proposal concerning
the annexation of portions of
Hay township by the village
of Hensall has not been sent
to the,Ontario Municipal
Board, Reeve Harold Knight
said Monday.
Knight stated that the
village is still working out
the final details of the
proposal with the Huron
county planning department
before the proposal is sent to
the OMB.
In the village's opinion, all
the objections to the an-
nexation with the exception
of the busing of students in
the annexed area have been
settled,
There's still hope that this
one objection could be
satisfied with the village
sending out a proposal which
could solve the impasse.
Knight said they have
received no feedback from
the objectors over the
village's latest move and did
not know when the ob-
jectors would let their
opinions be known.
Regardless of the school
busing problem,. Knight said
he believed that the OMB
would call a hearing,
'One of the reasons why the
annexation proposal has not
been sent to the OMB is that
all of the objectors have not
been notified. Knight' noted
the pathway to the municipal
board is a "step by step
process."
