T-A photo Welcome members at Kirkton church Hold event 5y GORDON MORLEY .BRIN$LEY Mr. Ted Peters was. the guest-speaker at a Corporate service, of St. James'` hurch Parkhill Trinity church, Ailsa Craig and St. Mary's Church, Brinsley which was held on Palm, Sunday at St. Mary's Church, A light lunch and fellowship hour was enjoyed after the service. Mrs. Merle (Lewis visited a few days. recently with Mr. and Mrs, Goldwin Glenn of Exeter, Tracy Hemming was a at Brinsley week-end guests with. Kathy Maynard, Mr, and Mrs. Eugene Thompson and Arlene and Leslie Thompson were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Violet Allison and Kathleen Morley. Kathy Maynard and, Tracy Hemming sang two numbers "Amazing Grace" and One tin. Soldier" during the church service on Sunday in the United Church. Palm Crosses were handed out to. the Sunday School children after the service. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weer- nink and family have return- ed home from a vacation in Holland. Dr. and Mrs. Schaefer and SUsan have returned home after spending the Easter break in Hawaii. Flowers in St. Paul's Anglican church Sunday were placed in loving memory of Mr. Cicily Crew by her family. Mr. and Mrs, Earl Carroll of Exeter and Mr. Jim 'Stephen of St. Marys were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs, Rea Stephen. The family of Mrs. Pearl Budden held open house at her' residence in Kirkton Sunday in honor of their mother's 75th birthday. News from Huronview Frilly hats and long skirts were the order of the day last Friday when Antique Day was held at Huronview. The Goderich Museum presented a display in the Craft Room all day and the Residents had a great . time reminiscing. The dinner at noon in the main dining room was suppose, to simulate an old-fashion Earm meal. Special 'thanks to the Goderich Museum for bringing back so many memories to our Residents, and to Mrs. Betty Rodgers and staff for the extra effort put forth with w excellent meal. Also I would like to thank all staff members and Residents who dressed up for the occasion. Participation is what makes days like this a success like it was. Marie Flynn, Ken Dale, Lorne Lawson, Stewart McCall, Wdrren Whitmore, Wilson McCartney and our own Cecil Skinner and Jim Ruddock combined forces and presented Old Tyme Music on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday evening we showed our appreciation to our Volunteers by serving them a turkey supper in the main dining room. We adjourned to the auditorium after our meal and there Frank Bissett started a program off ' by playing a selection on the piano. Elsie Henderson aand Margaret McQueen sang a duet called Golden Gate. John McTaggart played You Are My. Sunshine on his mouth organ. Ruby McVittie played the piano and a skit showing what happens when the baby is allowed to play with the raffle rounded off the programme. Radio an- nouncers were Frank Bissett, Elsie Henderson, Mabel Garrow, Margaret Murray and Margaret McQueen. The baby was Cecil Skinner, _ By MRS.
