their meeting Monday with
44 in attendance. President,
Charles Mar tene presided.
Tickets are to be sold on the
quilt made. Three trips are
planned-Holland, Michigan
Tulip. festival, May 13-15;
Rochester Lilac festival May
21.23; June 2-6, Penn-
sylvania, Gettysberg and
Lancaster. Anyone wishing

program on resolutinns. Roll
call was "The needs of our
community." The motto was
a discussion of the roll call
answers. Topic taken by the
three ladies was tipping.
After much discussion, it
was decided to bring in a
resolution against tipping. A
contest followed.
The next meeting will be
the annual meeting and all
conveners are to bring in
their reports. Secret pals will
be revealed with a gift.

Organist retires
Sunday, March 23, a pot
luck dinner was held by the
congregation of Zion
Lutheran church in honor of
Miss Helen Nadiger who has
retired after being organist
for 30 years. She. was
presented an engraved
plaque. Helen thanked
everyone and recalled the
events during the years,
different pastors, weddings,
funerals, the choir and
congregation, She stated
"An organist is of little value
without the singing of the
choir and congregation."
