Sean Hogan got 17'points and Paul Allen got 4 points. The boys lost to Parkhill on February 21 by a score of 28- 8. Jim Matthews got 6 points, On February 28 McGillivray ,Played Ausable Springs and lost 28-10, Brad Steeper and Jim Matthews got 4 points each. When the boys played East Williams on March 4 we lost 34.25, but Sean Hogan got 12 points and Paul Scott got 4 points, In . the last game of the boys' season McGillivray played Ausable Springs, with three minutes left in the game the score was 22-16 for Ausable Springs. McGillivray scored 6 straight baskets. Then with 10 seconds left, Sean Hogan put in the game winner; the crowd went crazy when the score became McGillivray 24, Ausable Springs 22. Sean Hogan got 12 points and Jim Matthews got 8 points. The girls' basketball team finished second in front of Parkhill and behind Adelaide. The girl's played Adelaide on February 18, and lost 4-2. Brenda Bullock got the 2 points. The girls played Parkhill on February 2, and lost 15-14. Martha Mollard got 10 points and Shannon McCallum got 4 points. The girls played an exhibition game against Oxbow and tied 8-8. Shannon McCallum got 4 points and Pebble Hughes and. Martha Millard got 2 points each, The girls played. East Williams on March 4 and beat them 20-10, Martha Mollard led with 10 points and. Debbie Hughes scored 6 points. At , that point McGillivray was tied for second place with Parkhill, so they played one game to decide second place, McGillivray won 6-5, Martha Mollard, Debbie Hughes and, Shannon McCallum sunk one basket each. McGillivray went to Adelaide to play the final game, The fouls hurt McGillivray, at the end of the game McGillivray had a total of 25 fouls. Martha Mollard, Debbie Hughes and Brenda Bullock were fouled out. With three minutes left in the game the score was 9-9. Than Adelaide got basket after basket and Adelaide won the game and the championship, There were sad feelings in the McGillivray team. The scorers for McGillivray were By MRS. FRED BOWDEN CENTRALIA The annual business meeting of the Centralia Faith Tabernacle was held in the main auditorium Tuesday evening March 11, Rev. Bob Degraw chaired the meeting and Marlene Parker recorded the minutes. Many new projects were discussed for the spring Outreach, The bus used in picking up children from Huron Park for Sunday School has undergone repairs and will soon be back in operation. The Sunday morning song service was led by Bob Heywood, Carman Hardy of London Faith Tabernacle was the guest speaker. He based his sermon on Matthew 3, Repent for the Kingdom is at hand. We all have to meet our Maker no matter what we think or believe, In the evening service Edgar Cudmore was the special speaker due to the il- lness of Evangelist Gary Thomson. Sunday Service At the service in the United Church Sunday morning, Mr. Paul Schott spoke on the subject "Your Whole World in His Hands" and based his thoughts on Matthew 10, verses 26-31. Respect can bring our courage to the front. Confidence and our belief in a living God can banish fear. The children's story was told by Mr. Schott. This week we will take a look at the grade two class at McGillivray, In math they will be doing fractions and in science they are doing wild animals. They are doing the ordinary printing and spelling. At 3:20, the grade two class has show and tell which is enjoyed by all the students. I was asked to teach grade two one time. Dawson Hayter a prominent business man in the village for a number of years moved on Monday with his wife and family to Arden to take charge of the Circle Square Ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Hayter will be working with Young People and we wish them success in their new venture. Bill Hodge who has been closely associated with Mr. Hayter has taken over Hayter Electric. Intended for last week Centralia United Church Women were guests of Zion U.C.W. at a service in the Zion church on Wednesday evening of last week in ob- servance of the World Day of Prayer. Miss Margaret Cook and her brother James Cook, Grand Bend, have returned home following a two weeks vacation in Orlando, Florida where they were guests with Mrs. Bob Little and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Little. They made the trip by plane. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins attended a tea at the Trinity Anglican Church in Wiarton on Saturday in honor of the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William Crawford and were guests for the weekend at the home of Mr. Charles Hodgins in Chesley. They also called on Mrs. Miles McCabe in Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Vogan, Listowel visited with Mrs. Vogan's mother, Mrs. Fred Cunnington Sunday and entertained her to dinner at the Three AAA See Restaurant, Exeter, in celebration of her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cunnington and family, Thames Road, were Sunday callers at the home of Mrs. Cunnington. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Skinner and Dianne and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Denham, Kirkton flew to St. Petersburg, Florida, for a week's vacation. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Pym. Mr. Pym celebrated a bir- thday while they were there and they were luncheon guests with Mr, and Mrs. Ken Greb. Senior citizens enjoyed an afternoon of crokinole and cards followed by lunch in the Community Centre, Monday.
