Dear Bill,
I had the pleasure of at-
tending the Exeter' Figure
Skating Carnival on
Saturday night. I would like
to congratulate all who were
involved. Special
Congratulatins to Laurie
Prout for her effort and
success. I'm sure she has
worked hard to achieve such
a skill level as 'a figure
skater.
As a parent of two young
skaters in the club I would
very much like to thank the
president, the pros, the
skating club executive and
in particular the president
Marie Tiernan, as well as the
many parents who unlike me
are actively involved. The
Exeter Club could not be the
success it is without your
time and effort. Also the
Carnival committee under
the capable direction of Pat
Down have worked hard and
I'm sure their work is much
appreciated by the skaters
and parents.
On the few occasions
during the season when I
have taken my children, I
have observed that the'
senior skaters (mostly high
school students I believe)
have been assisting in in-
structing the younger
skaters with the basic skills.
I'm sure that their work is
very much responsible for
the success and size of the
club (approximately 170
skaters) and your work
