Utilities Building on Main
Street presents a new ap-
pearance having a new front
added which adds greatly to
the construction, The con-
struction work was done by
Murray Baker, local can-
tractor and the brick work
was done by Bischoff Con-
struction.
Missionaries to visit

Rev, Kenneth Knight
conducted service in Carmel
Presbyterian Church on
Sunday speaking on the
"Three Advents", Mrs.
Robert Taylor led the choir
in singing the anthem
"Blessed AssUrance" Rev.'
and Mrs. Jack McIntosh who
have been missionaries in
Japan with the Korean-
Christian Church will visit
for a mission week-end
December 1. In addition to
speaking at each of the
churches services Mr. and
Mrs. McIntosh would like to
meet informally with each of
the congregations.
A coffee hour will be held
at Carmel Church on
Saturday December 1 at the
hour of 2,30 p.m. All are
cordially invited to attend,

be held Wednesday at 8.00
p.m. Choir Practice at 7.31
p.m. Wednesday.

a hymn sing with Dr. Ralph
Topp at the organ, At the
conclusion of the service,
Rev. McDonald greeted
those who left by the West
door with Mrs. Arthur Slade
greeting worshippers at the
South door, Ushers were

Lodge on Wednesday
evening assisted by the Vice-
Grand Mrs. Elizabeth Riley,
who reported for the visiting
committee sending cards to
several shut-ins. Mrs.
Dorothy Corbett, Treasurer
gave the financial report. An
invitation was received to
attend a Euchre in
Edelweiss Lodge Seaforth on
Wednesday. The con-
tribution for the United
Nations. was sent in. The
Initiation Degree was
conferred on Mrs. Edith M.
Bell. Arrangements were
made for the Bazaar, Tea,
and Bake sale which will be
held on Saturday at 2.30 p.m.
The Christmas party will be
held on December 5 with an
exchange of Gifts. Major
General Ernie Chipchase
brought greetings from the
Council of the Patriarch
Militant and congratulated
the sisters on their work. A
delicious lunch was served in
the lower hall at the close.
Complete commentary
Hensall one 4H club, the
Needle Beetles, met on
Tuesday evening and
completed their com-
mentary for Achievement
Day. The poster committee
also worked on their posters.
The seventh meeting of
Hensall two 4H club, the
Needle pointers was held on
November 20 in the United
Church. The meeting opened
with the pledge. Then the roll
call was answered by
showing completed needle
pointed projects and or free
choice articles, and
discussing any new stitches
used. Next the members did
a quiz. The leaders then
explained the evaluation
sheets for free choice ar-
ticles, if one was done. More
work was done on the skit
and then the meeting ad-
journed,
Abundant corn crop
The mild weather of
November has been co-
operative to the many far-
mers in' the area who have
had an abundant corn crop
which is still being har-
vested. The local mills have'
been operating at top
frequency.
