Plan pork symposium
Last year the symposium
exceeded all expectations,
attracting More than 1400'
producers from across the
province. Organizers expect
at least 1000 producers this
year.
The one-day program
features 16 presentations by
speakers from the Univer-
sities of Guelph, Michigan,
Indiana, and Nebraska.
The key to success in any
competitive business is ef-
ficiency, and that's just
what producers will be talk-
ing about at the Second
Super Swine Symposium,
December 5 at the Stratford
Fairgrounds,
"We realize that prices
are down and costs are up,"
says Richard Smelski, On-
tario Ministry of Agriculture
and Food swine specialist.
"That's why this year's
program theme is cutting
costs and increasing ef-
ficiency."
The symposium is sup-
ported by county pork
producer's associations in
Perth, Huron and Oxford,
the Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food, and
pork-related industries.

Matthew 18, verses 10-14
upon which to base his
thoughts.
Jesus didn't come into the
world to teach the scholarly
people but everyone. How do
we measure up, do we pay
attention to the ones who are
absent from church on
Sunday. Everyone must do
their part in proclaiming
God's love. The love of God is
a rejoicing love, a protecting
love, watching over us. The
children's story 'Snowflake"
was told by Mrs. Schott.
There was an anthem by
the choir and a vocal solo "I
ask the Lord" by Mrs.
