With November 11 so close
the Exeter Legion Auxiliary
would like to share a poem
with you written by Rhonda
Preszca tor great grand-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Parker, St. Pauls who
are members of Exeter
Legion and Auxiliary,
Rhonda wrote this poem
when she was 14 years old.
Remembrance day
Amidst the bloody Battle
Fields,
The wounded men were
dying,
And now in grave yards
filled with peace
Their battered souls are
lying.
And now.we lay aside a day,
To think of what they've
done
That day we pray for every
soul,
For each and everyone, '
The blood red poppies that
we wear,
Stand for the flowers that
grow,
Among, the crosses of the
men,
Who lay there row on row.
The poppies grow in Flan-
ders Fields,
Amidst the crosses white,
A 'symbol of Rembrance
Day,
To men who went to fight.
