To minimize heating costs, current recommendations
in many parts of the country call for R-28 in the attic
area and up to R-20 in the walls. Insulation in the attic
poses no particular problem; you can always add to
your existing insulation. However there is simply not
enough room inside a standard 2x4 stud wall to install
R-20 insulation. GLASCLAD solves the problem.
GLASCLAD is a rigid insulating exterior sheathing
board that is applied in the same manner as con-
ventional exterior sheathing boards. But GLASCLAD, in
conjunction with VA" fiberglass insulation batts WILL
PROVIDE the necessary increased "R value" you need.
It's applied vertically to the face of the studs. It's
easy to install; you can cut it with a simple utility
knife,

Shipka man marks
97th birthday

Sunday, was a special day
for Shipka's grand old
gentleman, Herbert Harlton,
who celebrated his 97th
birthday. Twenty four
family members, including
grand and great grand-
children nieces and nephews
gathered at his home to visit
and to have a smorgasbord
supper. Those attending
included Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Westman and family,
London, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde
Nicholson, and family,
Courtright, Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Harlton, Granton,
Mrs. Wilmer Harlton and son
Tom of St. Marys, Mrs.
Mabel Guenther and Karen
and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Fenner.

Harlton, and Best Wishes

The Morenz's were Sunday
supper guests in Goderich
with Bill and Michelle, and
while there they all toured
Huron County museum. Mrs.
Morenz Sr. donated items to
the museum, of dolls com-
plete tea party set,
numerous other small ar-
tifacts dating back to 1880,
which had been from her
great aunt, Miss Annie E.
Consitt, of Hensall.
Also donated was the
wedding dress of Jane Ann
Jackson, Mrs. Morenz's
mother, from June 1915.
