Mary Arm Devlaeminck was organist for the processional. Invocation was by Rev, C. A. Falconer, Centre Road Presbyterian Church. Sandra Beaman gave the Valedictory address and received the Valedictorian Ministry of Education - Plaque S.A.C. At the Undergraduate Award Assembly Monday in Grade 10 - Elaine Cun- ningham received the Cheese House History Award Gray's Motor Sales, Family Studies Award Village of Ailsa Craig Award in English, Math and Science, Middlesex County Board of Education Proficiency Award. Institute meets The Clandeboye Women's Institute held their October meeting at the home of Mrs, Rupert Williams. President - Mrs. Harold Hardy opened the meeting with the Institute Ode, Mary Stewart Collect and the Lords Prayer. Fifteen members answered the roll call - Name a place you would like to visit and why. After a lengthy business meeting which included delegates chosen for area convention to be held in St. Marys, November 1 and 2, 4H clubs discussed, new History book to be pur- chased, request for cash donation to the Volunteer Help for Seniors A thank you note was read from Arc Industries at Dash- wood for a donation received in June. The program was in charge of Public Relations convener, Mrs, Arnold Lewis, who arranged to have the W. I. District President, Mrs. Duncan Fletcher of near Poplar Hill, as speaker. She gave a reading about "Time" which referred to the busy housewife who never has enough time to do all the many things she would like to do. Mrs. Fletcher also an- swered a few questions on the Western Fair Exhibits and everyone joined the discussion which followed. Mrs. Ethel Mawson gave reading on Thanksgiving. Mrs. Pete Groenewegen assisted by Mrs. Lewis and hostess, Mrs. Williams, served lunch and a social time was enjoyed by all. 4H News The third meeting of the Clandeboye 1, 4H club was held Saturday. The Theme for the meeting was "All Tied Up." Roll Call was "Tell why a Whalen Mr. and Mrs. Bill Damen and family, Lucan, were Sunday supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. John A, Damen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Davies, Wynyard, Sask. and Mr. and Mrs. Don Davies, Port Lambton, visited Mr, and Mrs. Mac Mills on Saturday. On Friday evening at the St. Marys District High School Commencement Exercises, Miss Cindy Taziar, daughter of Mr. and, Mrs. Mike Taziar, received a plaque for honors and also won the grade 9 speed typing award. Mr. and Mrs Gerald Hern entertained Mr. and Mrs. Mac Spence on Friday evening and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Mills for dinner on Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Pullman celebrated their son Adam's third birthday on Sunday and had as their guests Mr, and Mrs. Henry Giesen and fariiily, Lucan, Mr, and Mrs. Jerry Great, Byron, . Andrew Persoon and friend Pete Scheffers of West Holland spent a few days last week with Andrews aunt and uncle, Aggie and Pete Groenewegen.
