The Clandeboye Women's
Institute held their October
meeting at the home of Mrs,
Rupert Williams.
President - Mrs. Harold
Hardy opened the meeting
with the Institute Ode, Mary
Stewart Collect and the
Lords Prayer. Fifteen
members answered the roll
call - Name a place you
would like to visit and why.
After a lengthy business
meeting which included
delegates chosen for area
convention to be held in St.
Marys, November 1 and 2,
4H clubs discussed, new
History book to be pur-
chased, request for cash
donation to the Volunteer
Help for Seniors
A thank you note was read
from Arc Industries at Dash-
wood for a donation received
in June.
The program was in
charge of Public Relations
convener, Mrs, Arnold
Lewis, who arranged to have
the W. I. District President,
Mrs. Duncan Fletcher of
near Poplar Hill, as speaker.
She gave a reading about
"Time" which referred to
the busy housewife who
never has enough time to do
all the many things she
would like to do.
Mrs. Fletcher also an-
swered a few questions on
the Western Fair Exhibits
and everyone joined the
discussion which followed.
Mrs. Ethel Mawson gave
reading on Thanksgiving.
Mrs. Pete Groenewegen
assisted by Mrs. Lewis and
hostess, Mrs. Williams,
served lunch and a
social time was enjoyed by
all.
4H News
The third meeting of the
Clandeboye 1, 4H club was
held Saturday. The Theme
for the meeting was "All
Tied Up."
