PHONE 235-1933 EXETER CLANDEBOYE Thanksgiving service and World Wide Communion was celebrated at the United Church with Rev. Keith Brown in charge. The girls choir sang "Bringing in the Sheaves," The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, fruit and vegetables. Next Sunday, October 14, the Sacrament of Infant Baptism will be celebrated. 4-H news The second meeting of Clandeboye Club number 1 was held at the home of their leader, Mrs. DeWeerd. The roll call was "Show my best colours, the colours I should avoid and tell my basic wardrobe colour. The topic for the meeting was Head start on hats. Mrs. DeWeerd demonstrated making rain hats and discussed other types of hats. U CW Mrs. Harold Mawson of London was hostess for the meeting of the United Church Women, on Tuesday. Twelve ladies were present including a former member, Myrtle MacIntosh, who resides in London. Irene Lynn and Jean Brown took the devotions. In the business they were asked to cater to a family dinner in December. The hostess served a lovely lunch and a social time enjoyed by all. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Williams last week were Ellwood Derbyshire, Victoria, B.C. and Addys Quick, Windsor and Sunday they entertained their family for Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Thompson and Mrs. Ber- niece Thompson attended a family party at the home of Mrs. Edith Watson, Lucan Friday evening. Their sister, Mrs. Minnie Barnes of B.C. who has been visiting relatives in the area since June, left for home Satur- day. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cun- ningham, Kim, Tracey and Jill spent Sunday with Mrs, Elizabeth Knight, Rodney. Monday, Wilfred Cun- ningham joined them for Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Harper and family of St. Pauls. Mr. and Mrs. Art Hodgins and Pat, Peter and Laura McLean of 12 Lobo and Mrs. Irene McLean, East Williams enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the "White Carnation" at Holmesville Sunday and later called on Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brock of Goderich, Mr, and Mrs. Clarence Carter, Kevin, Joanne and Lisa, and Mrs. Viola Carter spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Brownlee and family of Gravenhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thom, Lucy and Mark, Bramalea were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lynn and family. Mr, and Mrs, Alan Hill enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner Sunday with their family at the "Red Pump" in Bayfield. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Millson, London, Clarence Millson of the village, Mr. and Mrs, Eugene Glavin, Leona and Mark, of Cen- tralia were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Millson. Mr. League and Mrs. Estes of Madison Heights Michigan spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kestle, On Monday, they joined the rest of the family for Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Mr, and Mrs, Dave Newman and family, Lucan.
