Be safe
Once again the hunting
season is here. Each year
hunting accidents bring
tragedy to many families,
usually because the most
simple rules have been
broken,
What can you do?
Never consume alcohol
before or during a hunt.
Know the identifying
features of the game you
intend to hunt.
Never shoot in the direction
of buildings or livestock,
You cannot depend on the
common sense of the hunter
beside you--wear bright
orange.
The handling of firearms
requires great care. The
Ontario Provincial Police
Force reminds you that
there are several basic gun-
handling rules.
Always handle a gun as if it
were loaded.
Never climb a tree or fence
with a loaded firearm.
Always carry your gun so
that you can control the
direction of the muzzle.
Unload unattended firearms.
Few hunting deaths are
accidents--they are usually
caused by negligence. With
some thought and care most
of them could have been
prevented.
Don't be at either end of an
"accident", use common
sense measures and enjoy a
safe hunting trip,

Ailsa Craig and Lucan
were A and B-division trophy
winners respectively at an
atom-division soccer tour-
nament in Nairn, Saturday.
Exeter Bullets went into A-
division play from a 5-0 romp
against Nairn. But then they
went scoreless for the rest of
the day and finished outside
the winner's circle. Even so,
the locals also went unscored
against due to the superb
goalkeeping of Tim Moore.
The Bullet's two division
games were 0-0 draws
against Taxandria and Ailsa
Craig.
Goal scorers in the 5-0
entry game with Nairn were
Dale Kints with two in the
first half, and Brian Quinn
with one. In the second half,
Shawn Moore and Paul
1VIellecke sent in goals.

were Jeff Prance, Chris
Gould, Paul IViellecke, Briah

Quinn and Shawn Moore.
Keeper Tim Moore again
shone in the two final mat-
ches, especially in the final
against Ailsa Craig. In the
latter, the second of back-to-
back contests, it was largely
the work Of Exeter's Moore
who kept the score at 0-0
against a steadily attacking
