This coming Friday is the
beginning of the 125th Exeter
Fall Fair. Along with it is the
elementary school section
with a wide variety of
classes that cover many
interesting and fun things for
the children to do.
Details of the classes and
rules were outlined on the
pamphlets distributed to the
schools in early June to be
given to each pupil.
Saturday morning is the
day to bring out your pets,
horses, cows or birds to be
judged at 10 a.m. Then you
still have time to come out
with your decorated bike or
to dress up in something
special for the parade.
The children's work will be
on display until 4.30 p.m,
Saturday the 22nd the
S.H,R.C. At this time the
demonstration.
The annual Exeter Fall
Fair dance will be held in the
auditorium of the Rec Centre
Competition at the
Agricultural Society Con-
vention in February. There
is terrific prize money.
The way to a man's heart
is through his stomach.
Wouldn't you like to enter in
the baking section and
compete for the Baking
Queen. New sections are also
offered in the domestic class
including a cake for the 125th
Anniversary of Exeter
Agricultural Society. Yes,
don't forget, there is a class
for the Best Men's Chocolate
cake.
There are special classes
for our Junior Homemakers
and the Baking Princess and
Sewing Princess will be
crowned Friday night. The 4-
Homemaking displays add
a great deal to our fair. It
was a picture of one of these
that won Exeter 1st prize in
the photographic com-
petition for C fairs and also
the winner between A and B
Fairs.
Maisie Boyd and her co-
workers from London will be
demonstrating and teaching
the crafts of caning, apple
dolls, etc.
You'll want to see the
Huron South Women's
Institute display and the new
Organization Display for the
125th year Fair.
It takes many hands and
time to prepare a fair, Along
with this, the ladies have
made a handmade quilt and

and cushion have been
donated for a draw to be
drawn Saturday September
