Once the new museum opened in May 1978, many large implements were offered from around Lamb- ton County. The original farm building at the new museum site quickly became full. Lambton is such a predominately rural County that the buildings tell the major story in the region's development. Inside the main museum building another new exhibit is in the making. The con- struction of an Industrial Display area ) is being fund- ed by a donation from Discount Dave's — Conklin Lumber. The exhibit will outline the various pioneer industries of Lambton County, such as salt, lumber and oil, and pay particular attention to woodworking tools, barn framing, and similar con- struction methods.
