dian, Dr. Tony Myers, from
Ottawa, with an award for
his personal effort in the
release of a joint statement
by the American and Cana-
dian Pediatric Societies
which confirms human milk
is nutritionally a superior
form of food for human in-
fants. TV talk show host Phil
Donahue was also honoured
for his support of the nursing
relationship.
The theme of the con-
ference, "Breastfeeding:
The International Language
of Love" reflects the united
interest of families around,
the world who want to give
their children the best possi-
ble start in life.
Roy Alderson has returned
home from St, Joseph's
Hospital, much improved in
health.
Mr. and Mrs, R.A. Orr
attended the Orr reunion at
Hanover and spent a few
days visiting in Chesley with
M r, Orr's brother Melvin.
MR. AND MRS. JEFFREY DAWE
Donna Jean Fleming and Jeffrey Alan Dawe exchanged wed-
ding vows on June 22 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Father H. Fleming, uncle of the bride, officiated, The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Gregory Fleming, RR 2,
Crediton, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dawe, RR 2, Zurich are
parents of the groom. The bridal attendants were Cindy
Beaver and Susan Fleming. Jim Dawe was the best man and
guests were 'ushered by Norm Dawe and Jim Fleming. The
ouple has taken up residence in Mount Carmel.

their annual picnic following
Drama of lost youngster
portrayed in Myth feature
Nichol's play, "Child" which
opens July 31 at 7:30 p.m, at
the Blyth Memorial \Hall,
tells the story of a couple
whose'six year-old becomes
lost in a winter storm, and of
the havoc that the crisis
causes in their lives and in
the lives of those around
them. Those who remember
the haunting quality of the
1978 production of Gwen-
doline will not want to miss
Mr. Nichol's most recent
offering.
James Nichol is one of the
rare breed of writers who
make their living exclusively
from writing drama. Among
his more famous works is
Ste. Marie among the
Hurons, produced by
Theatre London in 1974 and
subsequently by the National
Arts Centre in 1977. Mr
Nichol has written many

Blyth Summer Festival's
Production of "Child". Peter
Snell and Seana McKenna
complete the cast as friends
of the couple who try to
comfort them but become
embroiled in a crisis of their
own. James Roy, Artistic
Director of the Festival and
Director of Gwendoline in
the 1978 season, directs this
production,
"Child" plays for six
performances only, on July
31, August 4, 6, 14, and 15.
