IRVIN'RADER DASHWOOD Zion Lutheran Church held their annual picnic following Drama of lost youngster portrayed in Myth feature Nichol's play, "Child" which opens July 31 at 7:30 p.m, at the Blyth Memorial \Hall, tells the story of a couple whose'six year-old becomes lost in a winter storm, and of the havoc that the crisis causes in their lives and in the lives of those around them. Those who remember the haunting quality of the 1978 production of Gwen- doline will not want to miss Mr. Nichol's most recent offering. James Nichol is one of the rare breed of writers who make their living exclusively from writing drama. Among his more famous works is Ste. Marie among the Hurons, produced by Theatre London in 1974 and subsequently by the National Arts Centre in 1977. Mr Nichol has written many By MRS. Group two of the Ladies Aid with Mrs. Charles Martene, convener, was in charge of the pot luck dinner. The Sunday School teachers were in charge of sports for the children. 'Scavenger hunt, Danny Dittmer's team, A peanut scramble was enjoyed by all the children winners in the Frisbee toss. Kate Trotter and Sam Malkin create the roles of the distraught couple in the Blyth Summer Festival's Production of "Child". Peter Snell and Seana McKenna complete the cast as friends of the couple who try to comfort them but become embroiled in a crisis of their own. James Roy, Artistic Director of the Festival and Director of Gwendoline in the 1978 season, directs this production, "Child" plays for six performances only, on July 31, August 4, 6, 14, and 15.
