At this oc- casion the All Ontario Draft horse "Queen" competition was held for the various breeds of draft horses. Miss Marylou Tindall, Lucan was one of the con- testants in competition for "Belgian Queen". Marylou was chosen, and crowned by her sister Nancy, last years Queen. She was presented with a desk pen set and corsage. As Queen she will be guest at the CNE Toronto in August and the Royal Winter fair in November and several local fall fairs, Personals Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis and Mr. and Mrs, Harry Carroll and Gote Wennerstrom attended the chicken barbecue in Brynston recently. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Davis attended a Davis reunion for 126 relatives at Severn Bridge, July 15 and were guests following with Mr. and Mrs. Sid Davis at their log cottage on Oxbow lake. While in Orillia they visited Mrs. Emily Dickins, who is looking forward to her 101 birthday on August 10th. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greenlee were barbecue guests at the cottage Grand Bend with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Hodgins Saturday evening, Sunday they attended the "Charlie Pride" concert in Shelbourne Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barker visited their cousins Mr. and Mrs, Don Abbott Manitoulin recently. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Greenlee attended the tractor pull in Lucknow on Saturday. FRED BOWDEN Mr, Paul Schott in his sermon in the United Church, Sunday morning gave seven reasons for wanting to be a Christian and quoted several passages of Scripture to prove his points. Jesus said "I am come tha t you might have life in all its fullness." We follow God's teachings because we need outside help in our lives, comfort in sorrow; strength in weakness and preparation for the future. The children's story was told by Mr. Schott and Mary Lou Tasko was the organist. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Skinner and Mr. and Mrs. Bev.
